1. Calibration IntervalsFor pumps used in routine engineering testing, the calibration interval should not exceed one year. For pumps frequently used in high pressure testing and subject to high wear, the interval should be six months. For equipment used on offshore drilling platforms, or exposed to high-sand-content media, or engaged in continuous 24-hour high pressure testing, calibration should preferably be conducted every three months. Equipment stored for extended periods must be calibrated before being put back into service. When critical components are replaced, after major repairs, or when test results are in doubt, calibration should be performed immediately, and the equipment must not be returned to service until accuracy is confirmed.
2. Calibration ProcedurePlace the pressure test pump on a stable, vibration-free calibration workbench and level the pump body to prevent tilting that could affect pressure output stability. Connect a standard pressure measuring device in accordance with specifications, ensuring that connections are leak-tight and that tubing is unobstructed without kinks or blockages. Before operation, confirm that safety measures are in place. Operating personnel shall stand in the designated side area, and shall not face the pressure port directly. The entire calibration process shall strictly follow high-pressure operation safety procedures — overpressure operation is strictly prohibited.

Seal Leakage Issues
Seal leakage often results from aging, wear, or improper installation, causing unstable pressure and large calibration fluctuations. Check seals before calibration and replace worn parts promptly.
Poor pressure output stability
In reciprocating pumps, plunger wear or stuck check valves can cause excessive pressure pulsation, preventing the standard device from obtaining stable readings and leading to calibration errors. The plunger and check valves should be cleaned and maintained first; calibration should be performed only after faults are resolved.
